Prior to beginning the design process, I spent the bulk of winter term conducting research on how young adults utilize their kitchen space, the majority responded that the kitchen was the central hub for homework, dining, and community. Other considerations included the decrease in square footage for single-family dwellings, ultimately influencing my decision to make the table fully flat-packable and easy to disassemble.

To celebrate the culmination of this project, I exercised my favorite creative skill (cooking) and hosted a Kamayan-inspired dinner featuring Filipino meals I grew up with.
